Small double beds

Are they just bigger in width than a single bed or is it the length too?
Also, does anyone think I could do it all for less than a grand ? Currently sleeping on a 2ft 6 bed which is ridiculous at almost 40 years old.

The length is the same but they are wider and much nicer to sleep in ; my teenagers have small doubles and my DD and her boyfriend also manage to share when he sleeps over

you could definitely get a bed and mattress for less than 1,000

Same length, different width.

£1000 should be more than doable to buy a bed frame and mattress. Are you looking to buy online or in store?

I got teen DD one in the Next sale at Christmas for £250 and a great mattress in the argos sale for £300 and got her some nice bedding. She loves it and when I'm due a new bed ill be getting one too as I don't use half my bed.

I am looking to buy online.
Budget is a grand but hoping to do it for less!

You can definitely do it for less.

I bought a very cheap frame (around £100 for a kingsize) and splashed out on a decent mattress
