Trafford centre

We are taking kids to Trafford centre for a day out. We are doing legoland in the morning and planning to do the seaside area and Dino golf in the afternoon.

Are the activities far apart? Ie walkable?

We are thinking -

10am legoland

1230 seaside/lunch

3pm golf

Does that sound workable ?

We plan to book golf so want to try to get timings right.

Thanks

Don’t know about the distances but have you got the adults go free tickets for Legoland?

Gymmum82 · 22/08/2023 18:02

Yeah they are walkable. The only thing that’s a bit further out is the Dino golf. It’s maybe a 15 min walk from the seaside bit

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/08/2023 18:02

Totally walkable. Park at Legoland. Then you just walk right though the whole building, come out at the food court. Is the golf at the dinosaur place ? if it is you will need to drive to that bit. There's plenty of parking.

Go to krispy crème cafe. They have a donut making factory in it. It's like inside the factory.

I'd agree with parking at Legoland and moving the car to Dino golf later.

Personally I wouldn't do all three in a day, I've spent at least 3 hours in Legoland. What are your plans for lunch?

Autieangel · 22/08/2023 18:22

Oh yeah anything else to do would be great thanks

Just checked, the beach is next to the funfair.

I'd do

10-1 Legoland
1-3.30 lunch/beach/fairground
Move car and book golf for 4pm to give yourself a bit more time

i thought you were going on public transport. If you have a car then definitely drive to the golf.
It’s quite a lot to pack in to a day. Personally I’d swerve the rip off seaside and just do legoland and the golf

yoshiblue · 22/08/2023 18:32

Other option is to skip the seaside (I couldn’t be bothered with the sand!), but you could go to The Orient for lunch - then onto the golf. As @Gymmum82 says above!

ZenNudist · 22/08/2023 18:42

I'd go to the orient for lunch and avoid the rip off beach / funfair . Lots of nice places to eat. Pesto for Italian tapas. Tampopo for pan Asian. Thaikhun Street for more pan Asian. Yo sushi in selfridges. TGI if kids like American. Lots of chain stuff.

There's a roller disco in the orient now. Looks small. Probably pricey.

If you really want to make a day of it save your funfair money and do the highropes course at treetop adventure. There's laser tag in orient which is better alternative than funfair. Or arcade games at Namco Station.

Thanks everyone

Probably eat at the beach/fair

If you go to The Orient there are lots of food places.

Autieangel · 30/08/2023 21:07

Hi just to let you know we did legoland. It's not the cheapest but my son loved it. We ate at the orient then went to the fair outside the orient. We dropped the golf and glad we did as it would have been a rush to fit it all in. We had al lovely day
