House plants growing too much!

Well, I'm joking really of course, but I have quite limited space for plants and they bloody well keep growing. Then they need potting on, bigger containers, more space. Then they are too big for the little window sill so what do I put there then? I have killed quite a few in my time, but I seem to be getting the hang of it now. And some are just calling out to be propagated, I mean, how many spider plants can you have? Maybe I should investigate bonsai.

Succulents are slower growing , need less space. Depending on what plants you have potting them might make them grow even faster. Look online for pruning your plants in case they can be cut back.
You could sell them, houseplants aren’t cheap and are popular, then start again with baby plants c

Oh, some great ideas there. I kind of thought I had to repot them, or they would start to die. I have a Boston fern which has gone mad. Its gorgeous but so big now.

I just googled how big do boston ferns get, and now I'm a bit scared!

I went mad when morrisons had tiny asparagus ferns in for £1 each and ended up buying 5 of them, they seem to particularly like the bathroom and are all growing at an alarming rate!

Also made the mistake of watering a really ugly cactus I have and it has inexplicably doubled in size and is now about a foot tall and looks even more revolting. I would feel mean throwing him away, but I don't think he'd have any takers if I tried to sell him. I might try and gift him to someone 😂

My parents have Swiss cheese plant that's about 25 years old that is absurdly huge, but they appear to be blind to it's triffid like proportions as it continues to encroach upon their living room. I think you will get fern blindness and end up having to fight your way past it to get in and out of the room

Boston ferns do get big - mine was huge and glorious and then it suddenly gave up.

Can you get hangers and hang the bigger plants?

I love my houseplants and love it when they grow, but yes they do need repotting etc occasionally.

I mean, I could just move to a bigger house I guess.

If they'll survive you could try some guerilla gardening?
