Best deodorant for sweat patches

I leave lovely sweat patches under my arms and have avoided wearing colours due to this. I never smell of BO (I've asked a few honest family and friends and they would say if it smelt) it's just the unsightly sweat patches I eed to beat. I've tried a range of deodorants, different brands and different styles but nothing good yet.

What deodorants can you recommend for sweating?

Coconut oil mixed with equal parts bicarbonate soda, few drops of essential oil (lavender is nice). No deodorants worked for me personally but this works a treat.

I think you'll need an anti-perspirant, not just a deodorant. I have Mitcham or a stick one. Deodorant doesn't stop you sweating,

My DS uses perspirex
It's applied at nine a few times a week and it's completely stopped his issue( he literally soaked through to his jacket)
There is a comfort version as the original can sting a bit

Thank you, I'm off to the shops later to stock up on ideas so I test them out.

I used to have this problem and found that Mitchum was the only thing that worked.
One advantage of getting older is that I don’t have that problem any more.

loverofpants · 22/08/2023 13:20

Mitchum!

NameChangeEmbarressed · 22/08/2023 13:22

Does it have to be deodorant or would you accept antiperspirant?

The only thing I can use that stops the sweat patches is perspirex. You have to apply it to clean dry skin every night for a week and wash it off in the morning. Then it should last for a week and you reapply, once a week is usually enough after that.

A word of warning, if you shave do not put it on straight after this. It stings a lot

Sure Maximum applied at night and Perspirex once or twice a week.

I always know when my Botox is wearing off though as even this combination won’t stop me from sweating and smelling.

I use carpe or polar.
Completely changed my life - I can now wear shirts again! But potent stuff!

hairyunicorn · 22/08/2023 13:36

Botox! reduced my sweating by 80% and only had 2 treatments (6 months apart) and the wetness was pretty much gone.

GonksHaveNoEyes · 22/08/2023 13:46

Odaban. Absolutely nothing worked for me until I tried this. I just spray it on cotton wool and wipe my armpits before I go to sleep for a few nights. Works a treat

Thanks, just raided the shop and spent goodess know how much on all the ones I could find that were mentioned above! Now I can have a fun few weeks testing them all out and hopefully one will be the perfect match.
