Moved in about 3 weeks ago and gave the balance on the meter. Since then we have given our readings after 2 weeks of use to see how much it was and were quoted about £10 for electricity and slightly less for gas. Which is unbelievably low as we have had the washing machine on every day/central heating etc. Live chat on british gas suggested we run everything and check the meter and it wasnt moving at all. How are they going to work out how much has been used to bill us correctly?
