What does your 8 year old do?

Hi, what tasks do you get/ expect your 8 year old do around the house?
We’re only on making his bed, but would like to help him become more independent.

Keep his bedroom clean
Dishes or at least help dry them- if u have a dishwasher then that
Put things away he's had out

Feeds the dog and keeps the dog’s water full
Fills his own water bottle for school and day trips
Hoovers out the back of the car if he makes a massive mess!
Waters the plant pots on the patio
Strip his bed linen on the days when I make the beds

And this summer holiday he’s been making his own breakfast and having to clear it away afterwards.

Perfect, he’s actually enjoying some of these. He just helped me cook the dinner and loved it.
Going to give him some cleaning to do as well.

Load / unload dishwasher
Helps take in / peg out washing and fold
Put away own washing
Tidy room (needs LOTS of reminders and supervision!)
