Audible - None of This is True

Have just finished the new Lisa Jewell book on Audible - loved it. The production was great - more like a Netflix series - and I love Nicola Walker, who was narrating it.

Has anyone listened to something similar? What should I listen to next?

I just listened to that, it wasn’t my normal genre but I did enjoy it. I used to love LJ earlier chic lit stuff and she really is a great story teller.

The narration was really good I agree. I was a bit narked off by the suggestion right at the end, that possibly there was an alternative truth. Sort of wish just that last 2 minutes hadn’t happened!

I 100% recommend you listen to The Guesthouse by Robin Morgan Bentley. If you like Lisa,
Jewell you will love this. It's so tense and full of brilliant twists you don't see coming. Such a good story full of suspense. I was totally gripped.

I've been saving this so haven't listened yet, but I really enjoyed Nicola Walker's narration of Gillian McAllister's How to Disappear.

It was fab! I love the recordings with a cast as it feels like you're listening to an audio play rather than a book. I find the better ones are the ones that audible produce as part of the inclusive offering, or their podcasts.

Tom Lake is read by Meryl Streep. A different sort of book but suggesting it as it is read so well by MS I adored it. One of the best narrations I have ever listened to. Perfect.

Ohhh thank you, I’ve got this on my wishlist and some credits to use.

I adored The New House by Tess Stimson. I found the narration excellent, especially for the influencer in the story. I rave about it to everyone

I'm half way through this and loving it! Nicola Walker is a brilliant narrator.

I've just started listening to it and enjoying it so far.

I've just finished listening to The Mother by TM Logan, which had me totally gripped. And excellent narration.

Is that one by Richard Armitage? Love his voice so much and it suits TM Logan books so well. Loved his narration of The Curfew.

DogDaysAreOverr · 22/08/2023 10:47

Loved it!

Have you tried JP Delaney books?

peachypudding · 22/08/2023 15:01

@BeakerCupSaucerEggs I'm going to listen to The Curfew next, purely for Richard Armitage!

Can I ask how you listen to these books?
I subscribe to many podcasts but don't really understand how audible works. TIA

Via the Audible app - you buy the books on Amazon

Or on the audible site. Or through the app. Then they automatically download to your listening devices ie your phone.

Blanketenvy · 22/08/2023 19:34

Just finished this and really enjoyed it too.
