Ninja Speedi

I've just ordered one. I am a reluctant cook, and I am hoping that this will help me make fast healthy meals.
I have some questions... do I need any accessories? I've never used an air fryer before, do I need silicon liners?
I would like to learn the basics, is there a particular website that is good? I want to know how to steam veg, and make roast potatoes rather than complex recipes at this stage.

UK ninja Speedi community beginners and beyond group on Facebook is what you need , amazing group so much detail , recipe tips, and Amazon list of the best accessories etc.
Hope you love your Speedi , mine has been life changing

We have one. It's great. No accessories needed but it does take a while to get your head around all the different functions...

Thank you! I have very high expectations of how this is going to revolutionise my life! Grin
Do I need an oil spray?
Silicone mitts? Paper liners?

@Maltybiscuit
My Speedi has arrived! I bought a refurbished one, so it has come without the booklet 😫
Can I air fry two different things at once? Like chicken goujons and chips?

Yes in fact I'm just about to give the kids that for tea.

Put frozen chips in the bottom ( o put on a tray I bought om amazon but you don't have to) put the chicken goujons on the tray in the higher position. I put it on airfry 180 °c for about 20 but 15 would probably be OK.

@Thingsthatgo congratulations on your purchase , if you join the group I mentioned on Facebook you can get the booklet from the pinned posts. I would definitely run a full cleaning cycle first , ninja kitchen website is also very good, you can buy additional crisper trays so you could layer up, there is nothing I used to cook that I can't do in the Speedi.

@KinellMate
Thank you! So the chips can go loose in the bottom, not on a tray?

Don't use Frylight spray, use a proper oil one. On my Ninja wok the instructions are not to use that kind of spray as it make a coating on your appliance and ruins it.

Nicknacky · 22/08/2023 17:18

What is the difference between the normal air fryer and the speedi?

It is a 10 in 1 cooker, air fryer, pressure cooker, steamer etc. Lots of demos on youtube.

Just ordered this after looking for way too long at way too many options

Just hoping the air fryer is a good size. This is my only worry :)
