I ordered a foldable mattress and the seller has asked for my email and phone number. Is it a scam? When I click on the company it sells they are no longer selling on eBay?

That means their account has been suspended. However new sellers shops are often suspended for a few days whilst they check it is legitimate.

They will of received your email address on the order email unless you ordered as a guest.

They will probably want your details to send you tracking information for when it is dispatched.

I doubt it is a scam, seems they are just a new seller.

Sometimes couriers ask for the recipients email/phone number.

Ahh ok. I didn't order as a guest so I would've thought they'd have my email address.

Tell them they can find your email in the order email from Etsy. If they can't access that it does seem a bit strange.

The language they're using seems a bit odd too.

Also, to add. I have set up two Etsy shops and never had to provide documentation

Dodgy dodgy dodgy. Everything about it screams dodgy.

@Distinguishedandmature ask them to cancel your order and if they don't open a case with Etsy

Just cancel your order with them. Etsy will assist you.

The poor use of English is the giveaway.
