Overweight and laparoscopy?

Has anyone has one? I was doing some searching and it seemed to say they often refuse them if you're overweight because of instrument size?
Suspected endometriosis and loads of cysts, I'm a size 16 but going off BMI I'm at the top end of obese and panicking they won't do one and what happens then

I’m scheduled for one next month and am a size 20. It’s private though (through insurance) not NHS so I’m not sure if that makes a difference?

I am a size 16 and I had this procedure done in an NHS hospital a couple of years ago. No mention of my size/weight being an issue.
