How clean is your kitchen right now?

Mines pretty clean right now because I'm trying to get it properly clean every night.
I'm totally knackered most evenings so it's not an easy task but it definitely makes a difference to have a clean kitchen to come down to in the morning.

I was trying to do that too but tonight its not happened

Theres some pans and a tray out that wouldnt fit in the dishwasher, an empty box on the side, a used mug on the table, the dishwasher needs emptying and sides could do with a wipe

SandraFromTheCornerShop · 20/08/2023 22:45

Yes mines pretty clean too. I tidy and clean every evening after the dishwasher goes on.
I like waking up to a clean kitchen.

I do clean it multiple times a day though as it's a fairly "high traffic" area 🤣

DinnaeFashYersel · 20/08/2023 22:47

It's messy but I've gone to bed and asked DH to do it before he goes to bed.

Stratocumulus · 20/08/2023 22:48

Spotless.
Roast chicken dinner all cleared up, washed up & dishes away.
Floor swept & wet mopped.
Surfaces all wiped down and dishcloth put to soak in weak bleach solution.
Blind partially pulled down. Windowsill cleared.
All good ready for breakfast.
It’s a routine my DP always follows too! 😁
(He’s well trained.)!

Cleanish. There wasn’t enough room in the dishwasher so there are still things sitting in the sink.

YorkieTheRabbit · 20/08/2023 22:50

I’ve got 3 herb plants draining in the half sink, a good size Areca palm draining in the full sink.
Two wine glasses and a couple of other things that I don’t put in the dishwasher, I’ll wash those in the morning. Other than that, it’s ok.

Iclyn · 20/08/2023 22:51

If I were a visitor , I wouldn't want to eat there !

TheYadaYada · 20/08/2023 22:52

Spotless. We always leave it really clean at the end of the day. It helps that we have nothing at all on our worktops.

LooselyBasedOnAMadeUpStory · 20/08/2023 22:52

Worktops clean and the sink is empty, the floor is filthy though!

TheChosenTwo · 20/08/2023 22:54

It’s clean but there’s a chopping board that needs putting away, dh will do that before he comes up to bed.
We had a bbq with some friends this evening but I’ve cleaned up and hoovered (not steamed the floor but that can be done tomorrow), dishwasher is on and sides are clean and clear.
I hate coming down to a messy kitchen, I feel like it sets my day off badly so do try and do it properly every night. Everyone tends to help though, it’s not just me slaving over it - dh does all the cooking so it’s a fair trade!

SupremeCommanderTrinityRhino · 20/08/2023 22:56

Not at all clean.

Kellioo · 20/08/2023 22:57

Clean and tidy, I do it every evening as well as all public areas in the house (don't look in the bedrooms though).

pinguins · 20/08/2023 22:58

It's not looking good tbh.

TLDRfuckers · 20/08/2023 22:59

Plates and cutlery from cheese n crackers in the washing-up bowl, some glasses to be washed. Otherwise it is pristine Wink

Holidaystress11 · 20/08/2023 23:01

Nope. I'm exhausted. Dh is unwell. I'm juggling the kids into bed. I made a roast and didn't wash up. Dishwasher still waiting to unload and recycling waiting to go out. I decided fuck it tonight and watched a film with dh instead as I feel burnt out. Sat on a kids bed waiting for them to fall asleep now . I will deal with the kitchen in the AM

KateJohns · 20/08/2023 23:04

On a scale of
"Filthier than the most used public shithouse in Milton Keynes on a Friday after a bout of food poisoning caused by the bad fish at the chippy."

To:
"So clean Alex Politzi would be impressed"

It's somewhere near:
"Kay from Kay's Good Cooking would be fine with it."

justasking111 · 20/08/2023 23:27

Chaotic, we've cooked plums draining through a jelly bag to make jam tomorrow morning. Piles of tomatoes picked today in containers to make pasta sauce tomorrow afternoon. Why does everything ripen simultaneously?

So ask me again on Tuesday. 😂

ElEmEnOhPee · 20/08/2023 23:28

Not embarrassingly bad but in need of a tidy rather than a clean. I've had covid for about a week though and I'm just exhausted so not stressing too much, it'll get sorted.

Globules · 20/08/2023 23:30

Filthy and then some.

Having a new kitchen fitted, so dust and crap everywhere.
