Morning,

I'm due to complete on the sale of my flat in a few weeks. The house I'm buying won't be ready until about 5/6 weeks after. It's me, DS (nearly 3) and 6m DD. Their father is moving into a shared house in two weeks so although we are entirely amicable, we can't go there.

We don't have in laws family in the country. I just have my father and he's 80, very stuck in his ways and lives in a 2 bed, so not much room. It's not somewhere we could stay more than two weeks without threatening our currently wonderful relationship - and it's too far for nursery.

My best friend would have us for a week or so but again, not much space and in middle of nowhere so couldn't get to nursery.

I could get an Airbnb nearby but that'll cost ££££s (London).

Or I could decamp us all to the seaside for three weeks. Friends could visit. XP could drive down regularly. Nice change of scenery and a bit cheaper out of season than a London place.

Any ideas?

Boscombe's a shithole full of heroin addicts and drunks in HMOs and bail hostels.

Wow, I've never seen that side of it!

Depends when surely? Will it still be height of the season? May be better off in NE maybe?

I would travel if budget allowed, abroad or round to different places in UK.

If it had to be the same place perhaps Cornwall.
