Train strikes & pre-bought tickets

I bought tickets on one of the 'fare splitting' websites for a single journey on sat 26th. It's about 4 changes and 5 hours in total. Now the strikes have been announced its still possible to do the journey (leaving earlier and lasting longer) but two of the legs are run by different companies to the ones I've bought tickets with.

It says on national rail that you can use strike day tickets the day before, or up to 3 days later (none of which an option for me) but can't find any info around being able to use the tickets on the same routes but with a different operator on the actual day of the strikes.

Does anyone know if this is allowed? Will there even be guards on the train to check?

Not if they are for a specific train - you'd need to use another train by the same operator. Only tickets that say 'any available route' can be used on different operators' trains. You should be able to claim a refund, though.
