Just got up & looking at the state of the house. Everywhere needs tidying. I’ve been meaning to sort our bedroom out for months! Would love to decorate all through. We haven’t done much since moving in nearly 6 years ago. DH gets part of his Navy pension this month so we’re hoping to do the bathroom. Not a complete refit as originally planned but new flooring, take out the bath, new shower & new basin taps.
Watching the big match at 11. DD14 is away - not sure if she will watch it. I need to get a few bits later including a loaf. Tea will be a DIY affair as DH is collecting DD. She will probably ask him to get Maccie D’s.

Anyone?

Getting ready for my niece (24) and friend to visit us for a few days. Cooking and cleaning! Back to work tomorrow after 8 week summer break! It's going to be hard. DD17 asleep in bed, DS 19 should be home soon. Looking forward to seeing my lovely niece tho not great timing with back to work!

Back from dog walk and just finishing breakfast. PurplecatDog 1 is snoozing. PurplecatDog 2 (slightly younger) is being a muppet - trying to chew my house plants for attention, lol. We’re in Scotland and don’t care about a certain football match, but my DP will be watching his team later in the afternoon. Hoping for a restful Sunday!

We've taken the dog for her walk, picked blackberries, and now we're having breakfast (tomatoes and veggie sausage on toast)
Later I'm going to make plum syrup with the thousands of plums from my allotment and paint the hallway.
Dinner is cheese and potato bake with green beans and some kind of plum affair for after.

Dd1 is still in bed as she was at work last night. Dd2 is at work. Dh and ds have gone to a farm to buy some supplies for the chickens and they are bringing us home bacon rolls.
I’ve showered and now laying on the bed writing a list of last minute holiday bits. Going away on Tuesday so need to give the house a sort out today and tomorrow will pack.
Dh and ds are going to watch the football this morning, dd and I are going to the shops as she wants a couple of things and I might treat myself to some new dresses but only if I see any that I like, they’re not essential.
dd2 is finishing work at 4 and then we’re having a bbq and I think our friends are also coming round.

DS2 is still in bed but working at 11
i am making candles, then watching the football and then out for drinks this afternoon

Drinking tea, cat has vomited on my shoes, serves me right for not putting them on the rack I suppose! Watching football and then having a BBQ. Watching box set this evening and also got out for a walk between food and TV. Need an early night as I’m taking a friend in for an operation tomorrow, very early and a bit of a drive.

Sat on sofa with a cuppa and a snoozing sausage dog puppy- can only call him that for one more day as he turns 1 tomorrow.

House is spotless as dh sold his beloved car yesterday and I knew the buyers would be coming in. ( Caught me out when they popped in on Tues)
Dd 16 still in bed and shattered. She was at a karate summer camp yesterday in preparation for black belt grading in Dec.
It's finally sunny too!

At the park with the kids this morning while other half paints there bedroom it's nice and sunny out today which is good coz I can't stick being stuck indoors all day x

DP has taken the kids out whilst I nurse a hangover after a day out with the girls!.

I cleaned yesterday so it's spotless and I don't need to do anything other than lay in bed, and let me tell you it's DREAMY!

I'm still lazing on the sofa with DS, but need to get dressed in a minute and get on with some work on the laptop. Blitzed the house yesterday so no housework/washing to do and OH is cooking the dinner later. Will take the dog for a walk this afternoon but other than that I'm just trying to find something to binge watch! Just finished Live with the Fury's on Netflix and was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Would like to find something similar but struggling!

Beautiful morning- sun is shining and I'm sitting in the garden with my first cup of tea having only just woken up. We've all managed to sleep in well this morning.
I'm just going to enjoy the weather today. I'll take the dog to the beach for a walk shortly and have a quick swim myself. After lunch I'll take youngest DC back to the beach for a few hours. 12 year old will just want to play out on his bike again I suspect so we probably won't see much of him.
I intend to read, swim and sunbathe today!

Had a lazy breakfast in bed with Dd, now getting ready to head to meet our friends to watch the Lionesses hopefully bring it home!

I'm supposed to be meeting friends at a foodie festival but my new medication is making me feel very sick and dizzy so don't think I'm up for the drive.

Fabulous to see the sun shining for a change though!

I forgot to put my HRT gel on last night so am sitting here in bed waiting until I reasonably get in the shower (I think I’m good after an hour?). Then I’ll walk the dog who is looking puzzled and a bit desperate but she’s got a great bladder so we’re ok for now.

DH and younger DS will be watching the football. Teen DS probably won’t surface from his room until lunch time but I’ve thrown a bin bag in there and asked him to have a clear out.

We’ve got FIL staying for the next month so DH will help him get settled and unpacked and we’ve invited my parents to join us for dinner this evening so there’s some shopping and cooking this pm. DH has got a list of jobs (sort out compost, put on new toilet seat, sort out holiday unpacking for the attic and do some 11+ prep with DS). I’d like to put the 4 suitcases away having returned from holiday on Tuesday but have run out of steam putting things away after 10 loads of washing.

We’ve got BIL and family coming to stay next week so there’s rooms and beds to sort but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

I'm doing vigil with DH, as he does vigil at his mother's bedside on the other side of the world. Just feel kind of paralysed by it, really. I should be up, showering, the garden is atrocious, so is the house, we've been living on takeout, and I just - can't. Just wish I was there. She was a love of a mother in law, an absolute shhmoosh, and I can't believe I'm never going to see her again. Okay, over 33 years of knowing her, we've had our vintage MIL/DIL moments, but I was so privileged to have her as my Mum in Law. She came to my Dad's funeral to support Ian and me, and I've never appreciated anything so much in my life. And I can't be there for her and DH.

Really should get on. Just - can't.

Sitting with 1 eye on the telly and the other on my laptop (to ease the early match tension) and a glass of cava to hand. Uninterested DS is taking a shower and the dog is lazing after a quick walk.

Dd3 was at an 18 th birthday party last night and is still out as she slept over with her friends.
I will collect her when she messages then I expect she will crawl into bed for a while to recover after she has filled us in on how the party went.
Dh and I have had a chilled morning and breakfast in the garden together,now he's watching the football and I will sit in the sunshine for a while longer before joining him.
A relaxing day for us all is needed then lamb loin with sauce vierge ,new potatoes and veg before we watch this week's "only murders in the building " together tonight.

Just waiting for washer to finish so I can get I on the line. Money is really really tight at the moment but my best friend gave me cash for my birthday and told me I'm only to spend it to treat myself, there's a local craft Market on today where a woman sells beautiful silver jewelry. Teens are still in bed oh is having a bad day with his MS so looks like it's just me and the dog going out.

@jmh740 he will always be my puppy really. Lost my 16 yr old jrt 5 years ago- she was puppy till the day she died.

Stayed overnight at hotel by a river as part of a MN meetup for SN Mums and had lovely breakfast by river and a quick walk along river then checked out, did a drive around the pretty town and then back home.

Some gardening later and preparing for holiday and new kitchen and new school.
