Hey everyone.
My sister’s Border Collie has just had intestinal obstruction surgery. He’d managed to chew a toy (unbeknown to us) and needed surgery.
We’re now on day 5 post surgery and my sister has noticed that a section of his wound has opened up. She can see inside. She did take him to the vets this morning, and they advised her to see if it would close on its own. She’s returned from work and the wound has become bigger.
She’s going to take him back to the vets tomorrow but is hoping he doesn’t need to be put under. He didn’t eat until Wednesday (surgery was on Monday) and my sister was beside herself with worry.
My question is; has this ever happened to a fellow dog owner, and what was the outcome. Will he be ok?
