Plants/ ideas to pep up WC

We have a small downstairs loo with sink and mirror above. There is a windowsill behind the WC. It’s a lovely colour and I’d like to put some plants or something on the sill. What plants would go well in this darkish place?
What else would you do with it?

If you want plants I'd look at shade-loving succulents or something else small, else you're going to block light out.

I'd change the colour of the walls to white or a light colour, that green is lovely I agree but does a dark space no favours.

Put small shelves up above the toilet for the towels and decorative jug.

Hang a second mirror to give the space more light.

Does it ever get any sun in there? If so, you could try an Oxalis triangularis; they do well with morning sun, and shade in the afternoon. It'll contrast nicely with your colour scheme too. I saw some at B&Q about a month ago for about £4.

Spider plants are good. They are okay in darkish rooms, damp or dry but thir colouring and shape can brighten a room. Most places sell them in various sizes. Brilliant starter plant.

I’d wallpaper the wall behind the toilet. Something tropical and a little bit extravagant. I’d hang some pictures and a mirror and would definitely have some spider plants, probably on a corner shelf, quite high up.
