Oh how I'd love to win a million in real life.

Any other sim players out there?

Yes, although I'm in a bit of a playing slump right now. I started playing a generations game, but I don't love my sims.

Earhell · 19/08/2023 18:29

Start over. Definitely start over. What do you mean generations game, by the way? @MrsBigTed

I've moved them in to a too big house that I don't like. I need to move again. I'm toying with a luxury farm house or using the money to subsidise University

Mine has never won the lottery!

I'm doing the not-so-berry challenge at the moment but haven't played in a few weeks. Might talk DH into buying me the new horses pack ...

Iam4eels · 19/08/2023 18:32

University isn't all that expensive although you could custom-build luxury halls of residence and buy a farmhouse. What about opening a restaurant or shop?

itsmyp4rty · 19/08/2023 18:32

Oh I thought it was a mistype and your son had won a million on the lottery!

SM4713 · 19/08/2023 18:33

What is SIM? A type of lottery? Never heard of it and google didn't help. 🤔

MrsBigTed · 19/08/2023 18:33

Something like the not-so-berry challenge @Earhell, there are a few if you google for them.

Soubriquet · 19/08/2023 18:33

I like the sims though I don’t have a working computer at the moment

I would always use the motherlode chest though

@Iam4eels I have that new relationship pack - can't remember the name of it. Quite liking the changes that's brought about

I clicked on this thinking sim was a typo for SIL! 😁

AmyandPhilipfan · 19/08/2023 18:47

Yes mine won and I used it to totally renovate his family's house. I made them have as many kids as the house could hold and I was looking forward to going to school with the oldest when they turned teens but then I couldn't spend time with the babies at home and the dad, who was a home farmer, never had time to do everything on the farm and go into the village to sell his crops. Plus if the older ones then went back to school for prom or anything, and I went with them, they would get back late at night but the little ones' energy had often gone right back up so I couldn't send them to bed. So I went back to playing Sims 3 with its open world.

My worst sim story has to be where a two sims married and she had twins. The husband left her, and she became so depressed she stayed in one room and cried all the time. She refused to take care of her babies, so CPS came and took them away…and then she died

Iam4eels · 19/08/2023 20:22

I got the Tiny Homes expansion. Spent ages building the perfect micro-home, so cute and fully functional. Spent ages creating the perfect SIM to live in it.

Thirty seconds into game play she got tangled up in the fold-out bed and died.

Soubriquet · 19/08/2023 21:28

That’s hilarious

Lemondream · 19/08/2023 21:35

Omg I used to love The Sims. Has been a good few years since I played. I read one forum where a guy got a SIM to level 10 painting, moved him in with a family and locked him in a room with a bed, loo, easel so he was trapped there painting masterpieces and providing the family income 😂😂
Never did anything so weird myself, although did love an off-grid style game play. Is the new ranch expansion pack any good?

I'm enjoying it! I've got 2 horses called Sunshine and Potatoes. You get some nice decor items with it too. Plus line dancing, which is hysterical.

If anyone's on tiktok there'd a user called "simsarebetterthanpeople", I am far too involved I'm her generations.

JorisBonson · 19/08/2023 21:40

In*

Soubriquet · 19/08/2023 21:41

I hate that the Sims 4 allow them to climb out of the pool. It used to be an easy way to kill them. Make them go swimming and take away the ladder but nope they can climb out.

Last time I needed to kill one, I put him an extra small room, removed the door and there was nothing in it. No food, no water, no toilet and no bed. He constantly passed out and kept setting himself for days before he finally died

ElEmEnOhPee · 19/08/2023 22:21

I play SIMS on Xbox but is it better on PC?

Soubriquet · 19/08/2023 22:26

Much better on PC!

I've played sims for years and never won the lottery! Very lucky! Maybe you should buy a ticket in real life 🤑🤑
