Hi there, I recently have been entangled with a lettings agency whereby I was asked to put down a holding deposit on the grounds that if I didn’t like the property when I came to view it I could have the deposit back. Now I have called them and told them I’m no longer interested in the property as I’ve not even seen the property and I’m more likely to look for something a bit different in terms of spec.
where do I stand in this situation legally? I’ve looked at shelter and they suggest a number of ways you can get your money refunded but I’ve not even filled in any paperwork.
As I’ve not actually seen the property yet as they have pushed back the viewing for a number of weeks and they originally stated I could have it back if I viewed and didn’t like it?
