What could I watch tonight?

Rare night home alone tonight. Pizza is in the oven, pjs are on. I'd like to watch something light hearted, feel good. Would rather start a new series than watch a whole film for 2-3hours. I've got Netflix, Disney, iPlayer. Any suggestions?

Secret Chef on Disney+ is my current easy watch. 10 episodes, cooking competition.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 18/08/2023 19:46

Don't know if you've seen it but I'm hooked on the crown at the minute

TheMindfulMum · 18/08/2023 19:48

Thank you @NewYearNewUsername23
Not sure cooking was quite what I had in mind but if you say it's good I'll take a look. Is it just a competition or entertaining too because of the contestants involved?

What a brilliant series to be able to start from the beginning!

Lagershandy · 18/08/2023 19:56

The Founder on Netflix, starring the fab Michael Keaton.

It's the true story of how McDonald's became McDonald's, interesting and entertaining we really enjoyed it.

Globules · 18/08/2023 19:56

So many!

If you like musicals, try Schmiggadoon. Really light hearted.

Ted Lasso

Fleabag (if you haven't already)

Race across the world

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 18/08/2023 20:00

Dd and I are going old school, we're watching 1995 P&P

My brother has recommended Modern Family on Disney+ to me. Haven't looked at it though.

Only Murders in the Building is quite good.

socksie · 18/08/2023 20:01

I'm loving Fisk on Netflix (it's an Australian comedy series)

IncognitoMam · 18/08/2023 20:03

Have you seen the fundamentals of caring? That's on Netflix. Amazing film.

jaffacakeany1 · 18/08/2023 20:04

Motherland (British comedy)
Virgin River (scenic small town/ feel good American drama)
The Lincoln Lawyer (not to heavy American legal drama)

I know! I'm waiting to settle back into term time and then find a night week (or two!) where I sit down to enjoy an episode. I've heard great things about it.

Flea bag - great! Loved it!
Race across the world we're part way through and enjoying it a lot. Summer hols and being out of sync with the routine has paused play.
Thanks for your other recommendations

The Bear on Disney is one of the best things I have watched in ages. Highly, highly recommend.

The Deepest Breath also very good.
