If you go on self-catering holidays 'near' London, where do you go?

My husband and I like to go on self-catering breaks. We are based in London and like to go to places which are no more than three hours by car from central London. We are looking for ideas on new areas, within this radius, to try. So far we have explore the West country and some of the Cotswolds. I'm sure there are lots of great places. We are happy in towns and rural locations alike, and we are happy to drive for day trips. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Kent coast between Romney Marsh and Margate. Plenty to see and do, including Rye, Tenterden, Canterbury, Folkestone and Ramsgate.

Suffolk. We love it and try to go every year. Aldeburgh, Southwold, Minsmere, felixstowe, Woodbridge, Castles to visit and the Snape Maltings.

I can personally recommend West Norfolk and in particular Nar valley cottages for a luxury break. Also places like Cromer and Holt are lovely.

We've been to Kent and really liked it actually - but it was ages ago. It'd be nice to go back. Same with Norfolk.

We don't really know Suffolk so maybe a bit of research this weekend will be good.

Thank you!
