Anyone log their calories on Fitbit? I'd like some help please.

I've started to log my calories on Fitbit as I don't want to pay for MFP anymore and I already have the fitbit app on my phone anyway. I've started logging my calories today and have input breakfast and lunch which is 650 cals and it's already telling me I'm over my calorie budget when I can't possibly be. All I entered in initially was my weight, target weight and speed of loss (or something like that) which was medium. It's putting me off using it as it's not really what I want to see to motivate me! I'm assuming it's something I've done so can anyone give me a hand please? Thanks!

How many calories does it think you should be eating in a day? What time is your Fitbit set to? That's where the error is likely to be. That said I never found Fitbit to be particularly helpful for this and use nutra check - I never add my calories to eat them back though so I don't need to combine the 2

Fitbit calculates calories in and out to that point in time so your allowance will go up as the day progresses and you burn more calories.

Ah that makes sense! Thank you.

I use MFP and I don’t pay for it, there’s a free version that does the job.
