Packing for a festival

Packing is never this hard!

We're not camping so need to have everything with is for the day.

Forecast for the weekend is dry, c. 22 degrees, sunshine and cloud. So perfect really.

My planned outfits are basically shirts and tshirts. I'll take a rain jacket just in case. But 22 degrees and no sun, outdoors all day and into the evening/night is it going to get chilly. I know it's ridiculous but I can't quite imagine what happens at night after 22 degrees, which is beautifully pleasant but not scorching hot.

I’m going to a 3 day festival with a similar forecast!

Im taking 3 vests, 2 shorts, one pair of high top converse and a bikini.

I went last year, took several outfits and ended up wearing a vest /shorts combo every day, so I’m being sensible this year and taking only what I will actually wear. I will also take one hoodie for the cooler evenings.

Is this Rewind South? I'm taking leggings with me, in case I need to put them on in the evenings!

Yes! And that a good idea!

Have you gone big on the fancy dress? My friends have, I've gone with what I'm comfortable in 😆

Hi, no, as my companions won't be bothering this time!
Such a great line up, can't wait!!

May be a bit late now but for days like that I always take this great jacket I got from Uniqlo - it is a reversable zip up jacket with a hood - one side is stretchy cotton hoodie material and the other side is rain jacket material. It rolls up small and has been brilliant for unexpected showers or chilly evenings at summer events.

Sounds great - I have a poncho thing (quite long) in case it rains!

Ahh! Now my friends have been "bullying" me saying I'll be the only one 😆

Maybe a long sleeved top / cardy / hoody for the evening - it can get chilly once the sun goes down.

I'd recommend comfy shoes, a zipped up handbag / bumbag - preferably across the body for dancing and keeping your hands free.

Also having been to loads of festivals, stuff always gets lost so label your items or stick on the QR codes from findmykit.com

Glitter or jewels - you can't have enough sparkles! I know you didn't ask for this but it's always top of my list for festivals!

Have the best time!

Yes a zipped purse you don't much care for is a good idea. I tend to take a zip up purse that has a strap with a clip so I can - if needed - clip it to my belt or the inside of a larger bag. That is where I put cards, cash, phone, keys etc..

Oh and take a refillable water bottle - most festivals these days provide free water taps.
