Ideas for sun holiday presents.

Bit of an odd one. Bear with me.

Our incredibly lovely childminder (who’s also our friend) is going on a sun holiday for a the first time ever on her own. It’s waaaay out of her comfort zone but circumstances have meant that it either this or no holiday and I think she’s brilliant for being so brave.

I’d love to put together a little package of presents/goodies for her for the holiday. She doesn’t really have hobbies apart from her dog (who isn’t going!) and she’s a larger lady who worries about her size so I really don’t want to get it wrong from the pov of any beach cover ups etc

Would love some ideas. Thanks!

Bright nail varnish?

A magazine for the plane?

A mini Avene water spray and a mini fan!

Puzzle book if she's into that sort of thing.
Local currency so she can buy herself a drink from you, treat herself to lunch etc. Or maybe even enough for a day trip or excursion if you
Photo album for her holiday pictures, though you might be better giving that to her when she gets back.

Luxury travel set of shower gel etc. L'Occetain have nice sets.

puzzle book is a good shout. She’s not a big reader but I was thinking she’ll need something to do when she’s having dinner on her own etc.

Nice water bottle

Plug adaptors (not fancy, but useful)

Sunglasses

One of those beach decoy items to stash your money in.

Some funky earrings.

A mobile charger? Handy when you are on the beach or out all day.

Wireless headphones (we have cheapy ones from tkmaxx and amazon)

Reusuable drinks bottle to keep drinks cold.

Bookshop voucher (or kindle voucher) I wouldnt personally choose books for someone else.

Decent hand cream, lip balm and moisturiser.

A nice beach bag?

Beach/water shoes? Not everyone's cup of tea but I can't bear walking on hot sand or pebbles barefoot!

Brightly coloured beach towel (online home store have loads reduced to £2!)

Toiletry bag.

Those clips to clip your towel to your sun lounger.

Rechargeable neck fan - I got one for DH and was a god send for travelling to work so might be good if its really hot on the plane or on the beach!

Most holiday destinations are boiling at the moment so I'd definitely recommend a usb chargeable fan. They're a godsend!

Maybe try not to give her too much stuff to cart with her though. Especially if she's flying on a budget airline, she might have quite a limited luggage allowance.
