Thought it would be nice to share days out/holiday activity recommendations!
We have been to Llandudno this last week and I would highly recommend
The Magic Bar Live. Says it is in the Alexandra Hotel but it is actually over the road. Great price, family friendly show, nice bar that does lovely cocktails and a really nice food menu. You can go early for food or just go for the show. Book early as we got the last three tickets for the whole weeks worth of shows 10 days before we went! Its good because there is absolutely sod all to do after dinner in Llandudno if you are self catering (and no....sitting on the front eating fish and chips is not an evening activity, its eating dinner....and anyway you get dive bombed by seagulls!) so it makes a nice change from walking down the pier...again!
Parisellas ice cream parlour. Its in Happy Valley (the gardens on the Orme) and OMG!!! I dont have a sweet tooth and rarely have ice cream but I could LIVE there! We only heard about it because it was in the I Weekend before we went as one of the best 10 places in the UK and it deserves that title! Great prices too, much better value than the Looking Glass ice cream place in the centre of town and the ice cream is soooo much nicer. Lovely view too.
The mountain Zoo is very close by and a good day out especially if the weather is too crap for the beach. Sweetest little penguins I have ever seen! Good value although the gift shop is very overpriced, even by gift shop standards.
