Hi,
I've been working away from home for almost two months on a very intensive freelance contract working seven days a week. I've had just four days off in eight weeks, working up to 12 hours a day, eating far too rich hotel food and conference treats, with little chance of exercise. I haven't even had time to buy moisturiser when I ran out, let alone get a hair cut. And I've put on a stack of weight. I haven't read a book in months or done anything for myself.
I'll be home by Monday and have decided to go for a proper overhaul. I'll book a haircut and brow reshape. But what else? I'd love some general inspiration for getting fit again and nice clothes and beauty or fitness habits for autumn.
I also want to do a pretty rapid weight loss diet to get a stone off fairly quickly and a second stone off by Christmas. I've never really dieted before, just done lots of exercise and healthy eating but the weight has been creeping on anyway and these two sedentary months have changed my body shape really noticably.
I'm mid fifties with two grown DC recently moved away from home, so feeling ready for lots of changes in general. I have vague ideas of walking 10k steps everyday and building this up towards jogging. Getting back to fitness classes etc. But I'd love some inspiration for routines and fun ways to get fit and pamper.
Anyone want to join me, looking after ourselves in September?
Does anyone have any routines or regimes they've adopted that made a big difference?
Or a diet they swear by for a fairly rapid but healthy weight loss?
