Does anyone else get out of sorts when they have something coming up?

I'm going away with friends this weekend. I'm looking forward to it, I know we'll have a good time but I'm a bit nervous too. I've never been to this kind of event before and not exactly sure what to expect.

I've been to work as usual this week but haven't been able to apply myself to anything else. No housework has been done, despite plenty of time to get ahead of myself for the weekend. I'd planned to get my legs and nails done but didn't get round to it and I've eaten rubbish and lots of it all week.

I'm not nervous as in really worried, more nervous excited.

Anyone else respond like this?

Not quite like this but I always look forward to events until a day or two before, then I don't want to go. I force myself to and nine times out of ten I have a good time, but I never want to go beforehand.

Yes, absolutely as you have described. I was once told it’s a possible sign of ADHD.

Doesn't sound like excitement to me, more anxiety and an ability to function as normal. My husband gets like it before events out of the everyday.

Yes, but i am an anxious person. I have been medicated for it. So i suppose i'm not your average there. I get really excited, then worked up, then unable to go. It'snot a good way to live.
