Period pants for 10yo

Morning all my dd has started her period! I am looking at buying some period knickers I've done some searches and modibodi seems to be the preferred option (although open to opinions)

Question is most of them I can see online and moderate - heavy flows. Just wondering if that's OK or do I need to buy some light flow ones too? There only seems to be a couple in the light flow most of the teen ones are moderate to heavy. Will these be suitable?

I'll be honest I use contraception purely to avoid periods as mine were absolutely horrific so feel a little out touch I'm ashamed to say. Any advice is very much appreciated.

I felt a pair in primark and it felt like swimming costume material. Just wondering if they hold the moisture away from your body? I just imagine them to be terribly messy if you have a heavier flow?

My dd and I both use the m&s ones. They are so comfortable!

My DD got on well with Diana by Blinx. Came out at roughly £30 on a 4 for the price of 3 deal. Worked overnight too

I'm 53 and wear the modibidi ones everyday cos who knows when my period will be these days. Very comfortable, I wash with regular wash and line dry, although oh has been known to tumble them by accident.

Has anyone seen ones with slightly longer legs? DD wears boys jersey boxers and won't tolerate the boy-short length pants. She has sensory issues and pants were a nightmare until we tried jersey boxers.
