Pain in armpit for three months

I have a pain in my arm pit, been there for just over three months. Feels like a lump is rubbing but there's no lump. Should I see the gp?

Definitely, yes.

Why wouldn't you? In fact, why haven't you?

I haven't as of yet because my gp brushes off 95% of what I say. So no point saying "I've had this for two weeks....." I either get told its normal or I need to start taking powerful antidepressants.

Got an appointment for next Friday.

I thought breast cancer is painless and I have no other symptoms. Just this constant low level pain

In that case you need a better GP. That's not intended to be flippant. Within my current practice there's one GP I avoid like the plague, one who is pretty good and one who I think is absolutely brilliant and always seems to understand exactly what I'm trying to explain/describe. He makes it much easier for me to manage various conditions.

Breast cancer is mostly painless but rare case can cause pain if it's near a nerve. It could be an inflamed lymph node, or your bra rubbing etc.
