I’d welcome all reviews for Volvo xc 90 ( probably hybrid) versus VW Tiguan Allspace…4 children ( 15,12,12,8)

The Volvo would be a stretch for sure but if much better space than VW we would consider … ..

Summer hols were tricky this year with everyone bitterly complaining of being cramped in our current car so we just need to bite the bullet …We do a far bit of driving as grandparents 4 hrs away

We need a 7 seater, have a 9yr old, 5.5yr old and pregnant with #3, we also have a dog. We do lots of driving up and down the country due to living in London and our families being in Devon and Newcastle.
i want an xc90 (not new due to cost), we have looked at them and have enough space in the back row for us. We have a Tiguan now so checked out the all space and it’s tiny. There is no boot at all when using 7 seats, the back row isn’t suitable for older kids. My 9yr old had his knees in his chest sitting in it, plus the seat I front doesn’t move forward making it a massive challenge to get in and out. The floor in the back row is raised in the Tiguan and it’s low in the Volvo.

think I’ve almost persuaded OH to get the Volvo, or potentially the Audi Q7

If we were to go for Volvo xc90 ,we are looking at a ( very expensive )hybrid 2021 versus older diesel models 2016/17( big price difference )

Just wondering if people think diesel cars will be almost obsolete in 5 years and we’d thus never have any chance of trading in in the future ?
