Healthy lunch ideas for a picky eater - help!

Hi everyone,

I've posted in calorie counting but thought it might be worth posting here too.
I really need some ideas for healthy lunches as I'm on a diet, but there's so many healthy foods I don't like that I'm really struggling! I'm having toast with marmite and grapes but it's literally been months and I'm so sick of it, please help!

Foods I don't like:
Salad
Eggs
Fish
Also don't like cold food that should be hot, eg cold vegetables or pasta salad.

This makes it so hard to find healthy lunch ideas!
I need something with carbs to keep me full as I have a busy job and on my feet all day, for no more than 500cal. I'd like this to include 70cal for a low fat choc pot as I always have to have something sweet after.

Please help me enjoy lunch again!!!

What type of cooking facilities do you have?
Jacket potato with something? Beans? Cheese? Coleslaw?
Soup
Something else on the toast.
A friend often has a microwave rice sachet with various things stirred in.
Hot pasta and sauce

Wrap
Bagel
Jacket

Jacket potato filled with something you do like.

Chicken
Cheese
Jam for something sweet in bagel
Turkey

Beans on toast

Pre cook jackets at home and re heat in microwave with cheese and beans
U could cook 3 a time and put in fridge in a box.

Pasta again warmed in microwave add a sauce

I opt for soup for lunch, helps me get a good range of veg. Batch cook a few different soups and store in individual portions in freezer. I like to have something with protein too - cold chicken pieces, falafel and humous. Greek yoghurt with berries is also good for a sweet treat, which boosts protein without added sugar.

Tuna/mayo/cucumber in pitta bread.

Bagel with cream cheese and ham.

Turkey or chicken wraps. I'd have with shredded lettuce and thinly sliced peppers.

Buy some toastie bags for a cheese & ham toastie in the toaster.

Could you make an extra portion of whatever you have for dinner and have that or part adapt part of it?

SushiSuave · 15/08/2023 22:22

Oooh yes I do like falafel and hummus. I'm trying to save soup for the colder weather. There are some great ideas here - thank you!

Baba ganoush if you like hummus.
