Starting year 7

Dd will be starting year 7 next month. What sort of shoes and coats are you thinking of buying?

I want to make sure they are hardwearing/last but also it's important that they are the 'right' brands too. It shouldnt matter but I was bullied mercilessly for the wrong stuff and I don't want that to happen to dd.

My DD will be getting the school bus. When I asked her about coats she asked what’s wrong with her current one 🤷‍♀️ So guess that’s it for now!

I’ve bought one off Vinted as even if she doesn’t wear it for school she’ll wear it on weekend walks later in the year as it is a ‘winter’ coat. Joules, navy blue, knee length with a fish tail back, hood with fur, lined and waterproof. Probably not an ‘in’ brand but it was inexpensive and plain and she doesn’t need one for a couple of months yet. Got that as a back up and then she can choose another once it starts getting really cold.

Long way of saying do you need one now? Also, maybe it’s just mine but no interest in labels. Design and look yes, but for now oblivious to brands.

I've bought some lace up shoes from Clarks for my daughter. Last year's winter coat still fits burgundy, fitted, fluffy hood from Asda) and she loves it so I'm not replacing it just yet.
