@DoraSpenlow interesting.

I wonder if that could have gone into hospital design and what makes peoples feelgood.

We've had a wonderful new hospital built that unfortunately has no see through window in room's nor open windows which is astonishing when we have gone through covid with the push, ventilation, ventilation and ventilation. I was speaking to the consultant who has to spend his time in a room with an opaque window

I donated to the JG fund and happy enough with where the money went. Making lives easier for NHS staff can't be a bad thing.

The Foundation thing.... mmmm.... watching her get more and more dolled up each time she was on telly...

I do think it was a form of collective madness but at a time when we needed distraction, it just came at the right time. Would seem odd now maybe.

I never donated to them, thank god or I’d be pretty pissed off now. At the time I just didn’t like these people but didn’t really know why so stayed well out of it.

Honestly, watching it all play out the way it has, including the death of Captain Tom after his holiday which he and the rest of them clearly should not have gone on, followed by his daughter behaving in such an attention seeking, narcissistic way, not the least bit surprised that it’s all turned out to be dodgy. Captain Tom wasn’t much better either, writing his autobiography including a bit where he detailed (from his view point only as she is dead) why his first marriage ended and painting his first wife in a very unflattering way apparently. Not nice people.

The £30m raised online went to the NHS charity, the 'charity' work done since is what's being investigated, so if you donated initially then your money did go to charity thankfully.

This is where you need involvement from the people who will be using the hospital involved in the design. We had carer reps involved in a new build for people with memory problems/dementia - one of them pointed out that the toilets only had room for a person to help them on one side, and what if the person needed two people to assist them.

Of course not everything is possible, but often quite small things can make a huge difference.

@EilonwyWithRedGoldHair

Absolutely, so true.

It annoys me greatly when thing are built new but don't have improvements...

Poor consultant in gorgeous new room and hospital like a hotel but no window? No fresh air and Cant see out??

Rollingdownland · 16/08/2023 12:27

Dreadful, grasping, dishonest woman. Shame on her.

Didi569 · 31/01/2024 00:19

Disgraceful greedy daughter. .... Hopefully she gets her just deserts. Fake is all I can say about her and she needs to reflect on the damage she has done to all charities....

Total cringe fest from start to finish
