Can I take Smiggle backpacks as carry on?

It's an easyjet flight. The bags won't be full, but including the handle they are just over 45cm tall. I could fold them down to fit in the bag checker thing.

Should be fine as long as they fit under the seat. This is more likely with a backpack than a hard case
