Child benefit confusion!

My ds is 18 and will be starting a foundation course in September at our local university.
This will be for one year before he hopefully starts a 3 yr ba.

Am I still eligible to claim child benefit for the next year? Information online is a little confusing and I've tried calling hmrc but waiting times are over 30 minutes to get through!

If they are at Uni they don't tend to get CB any more

Either way I think you're going to have to call them, to let them know what course ds is doing so they can update accordingly.

From what I understand, foundation courses are classed as higher education rather than further education so you're no longer eligible

What level is the course? Is it a level 3 the same as A levels or level 4?
