I mean, read a thread or a post and thought 'I know who that is?'

I am always conscious about exactly what I post on here because MN is so popular and appears easily in search results too. I have recently seen a thread on here and I'm 99% sure I know the person IRL.

A parent from the school I worked in. Despite us working extremely hard to integrate her child, who had a raft of emotional and behavioural issues, she blamed the school (we were the child’s third school at yr2). Most people on the thread believed that she was doing her utmost to support school, when in fact, she was doing the complete opposite.

I now take most threads with a massive pinch of salt!

I've been recognised, recently was posting about a situation involving a group of people and one of them starts butting in with 'come on now you know it wasn't like that' type comments, then the 'big reveal' that she had been there etc.

It was quite disconcerting as it was not posted on one of the main boards. Made me realise that for every one time someone reveals themselves as known, there are 100 times when they are just silently lurking
I'm a bit paranoid about being too outing now and name change frequently
