How did Brighton Zipline get my daughter's bank account details?

My daughter is going to Brighton for the day on Wednesday and decided to book the Brighton Zip Line. She had put in the date and time she wanted, but couldn't get the booking page to load.

I then did it on my laptop (different locations), using her email address and phone number, intending to pay for it myself.

But when I went to the checkout page, it gave me a confirmation of booking, and they have taken the money from my daughter's account. She hadn't entered her card details on to the Zip Line page, so how have they taken payment?

Is she absolutely sure she didn't click to use Google pay or something before she ran into difficulties?

The details must be stored somewhere on your laptop or the zip wire account online associated with her email
or phone number. It won’t have just pulled the payment info from nowhere.

Probably autofilled on her phone/device before it crashed.

I would not be suprised if the cause of this is google pay.

I refuse to have bank cards saved on any of my devices for this reason.

Thank you. I don't know her bank account details. I don't even know who she banks with these days.

One of her friends has suggested she has somehow linked her debit card to her phone, and that may be it.

Wow, this has been a learning curve. She's now trying to find out how to unlink card/phone, and I am going to be scrutinising my bank/phone too.
