Etsy. Do you sell on it?

I'm thinking of putting my small art business on Etsy but not sure how much business it would do? Obviously depends on the products.
I'm talking about hand painted cards and paintings.
If you sell on there I'd love to hear your experience.
Thanks so much

I sell my artwork on Etsy. Some months I’m very busy, leading up to holidays and celebrations. Other months I’m quieter. I think it depends really on the type of art you’re selling and the price. Lots of people create similar artwork so it’s quite competitive. Especially if they bulk produce and can create artwork quickly meaning their prices are kept low.
Free delivery and fast delivery are also big selling points.
I do like Etsy but I feel they take a big cut of my sales and sometimes it doesn’t feel worth it.

I use Instagram to help boost my sales. I use Etsy marketing to help promote my stuff too. You can quickly become a star seller which helps but you need to keep on top of it.

I sell my crocheted items on there and honestly quite often it feels like it’s not worth it. They take a big chunk of your sales in various fees but because I can’t find an alternative (and I’m a bit lazy!) I just stick with them. Be aware that they can issue refunds very easily and quickly without giving you time to resolve things yourself.
