Basically I ordered a gift voucher for a special birthday a month in advance, with a nominated delivery 2 days before the actual birthday to allow for delays.
Birthday comes, no gift card, and no tracking update for over 48 hours. I rang to complain and after about an hour of discussion/being left on hold, I was told that as there was no tracking updates it would be considered lost and cancelled. They then sent an e-voucher which I forwarded to birthday person. Gift voucher was then delivered late that evening, but I had told the recipient it had been cancelled.
Was also told that someone from Escalations would call within 24-48 hours. No call.
I then receive an email telling me that as the gift voucher was delivered, albeit late, they had cancelled the e-voucher.
Complete shambles, I’ve been told so many different things by different people. Staff are very offhand and I’ve had to tell the same story over and over as they don’t seem to keep comprehensive notes. I’ve been told they can’t call me because I’m in Portugal, then another person says they can - although they didn’t.
Finally I am told that the original gift card wasn’t cancelled, so just have to hope it hasn’t been thrown away.
