I was in London recently and did a walking tour about Jewish London. It was fascinating. They do loads of other walking tours as well.

This is one time when the Similar threads section could be really useful. Have a look at it OP - people are always asking about ideas for Central London & you’ll probably find some good suggestions.

Underground to Camden? Fab markets there (although with teens you might spend a bit) . Or walk from Houses of Parliament across the river and along South Bank? Lovely walk and you see lots of sights without spending a penny. Kensington Park area? Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace (on certain days).

Depends on the weather but we love a picnic and a walk around the Royal Parks (having done them all loads, our fave is St James Park!)

Or a walk along the Thames. The easiest and cheapest option and you can take in some of the sights.

Thank you, not sure why I didn't think of that myself🙈

South bank … walk along river from London eye to the Tate Modern ( free). Buskers etc

I follow Living London History on Twitter - he shows lots of interesting landmarks that you probably wouldn't find otherwise.

I'm also following Pretty Little London on Instagram and that has good ideas too.

From green park, walk across St James's park, do a loop of the park and see buck palace if you like, see the pelicans in the lake, then down Whitehall to embankment pier and the Thames clipper to Greenwich- cutty sark, the market, up to the observatory, naval college etc. The boat takes in a lot sightseeing wise. Then get off at Vauxhall on the way back and get the Victoria line to Brixton to explore a lively and interesting area, loads of places to eat at the markets. Depends how much you want to travel around but the horniman museum in forest hill is interesting. If the weather is fab then a swim outdoors at Brockwell (Brixton) or tooting lido. Queues can be bonkers when kids off school though so you may want to see if you can book.
