Credit (film or otherwise) you are proud of

I was watching a film earlier and left the credits rolling. There are so many names! A friend of a member of my husband’s family got a credit for some sort of design on one of the Marvel films (I think). So cool! It got me thinking - has anyone on here been credited on something and wish to share their proud moment?

My cat was in a movie once (lent her to a filmmaker friend) and now has an IMDB page. As "Actress/self."

I was once asked to read a preview copy of a Jackie Collins novel and provide a review, which was printed on the cover. Best. Thing. Ever.

I helped change (otherwise shitty) legislation to make it easier for survivors of DV to access legal aid. My team’s work was mentioned in the House of Lords.

Over 10 years ago and still the best thing I’ve done.

ADCisntme · 13/08/2023 19:32

My mother and my brother both have IMDB pages. My brother has credits going back many years for things you will have definitely seen. One of his projects even changed men’s fashion and hairstyles.

I'm in a book about a Canadian politician

BlowDryRat · 13/08/2023 20:11

I'm in a book called The Politicisation of Mumsnet Grin I display it proudly in my bookcase.

I have zero to add here but I LOVE this thread and all the answers so far!

Beccatheboo · 13/08/2023 20:34

@SkylarSpirit my cat is jealous! @ADCisntme I’m intrigued... @YallaYallaaa well done! Thanks for all your answers so far.

A photo of my hands appeared on the front cover of a children’s book as I had quite dainty fingers (they’re horribly gnarly now!). Didn’t get a credit though 😢

Peaked newsboy caps.

I have an IMDB page lots of TV credits.. but that’s cos I work in the industry not for any wildly exciting reason.

howmuchmoreofthisisthere · 13/08/2023 23:36

I have an article published in an academic journal

babbscrabbs · 13/08/2023 23:41

I've been credited in two books (one cookbook, one academic book) and one TV documentary. I doubt anyone on here has heard of any of them 😆

Sgtmajormummy · 13/08/2023 23:42

A friend wrote and illustrated a children’s book in Italian and asked me (of all people) to translate it.
Trouble was, it was in rhyme!
I wrote some terrible doggerel thinking it would never get published but I’d forgotten that modern printing methods allow you to produce even 20 copies of a book.
So now I have my name in print as a poet 😂

LauderSyme · 13/08/2023 23:45

I was manager of a hotel overseas and was mentioned by name, in glowing terms, in an international tourist guidebook. I was well chuffed!

ForensicFlossy · 13/08/2023 23:52

I have had my name in several theatre programmes, I am very proud of that.

Ponderingwindow · 13/08/2023 23:52

I’m an author on a seminal paper in my field. That I was a junior grad student at the time and had the smallest contribution doesn’t mean it hasn’t helped my career. I still publish in my esoteric corner of the world, but nothing as groundbreaking.

Me too ! I treasure the pantomime programmes that have my name in them.
