Hallo hallo

Can people recommend me their favourite fantasy novels for adults please x (no YA, I loved it when I was younger but I've finally outgrown it). Any sub genre, type, plot lines etc I don't mind at all.

And I can't believe I forgot to mention Guy Gavriel Kay.
From the Fionavar trilogy onwards he is amazing. His characterisation makes you hate/love them all.
If you want to believe in the characters, he makes me cry/feel every time.

Just popping back to.mention Mary Gentle, second Jim Butcher and recommend the first two Thomas Covenant trilogies.

But not the last TC trilogy. It was rubbish.

What a wonderful thread! I thought I had read an incredible amount of fantasy but there are loads here that I hadn’t heard of. As I am permanently stuck in bed, these new suggestions will keep me going for ages!

Fully agree, I gave up halfway through book 2 and gave the books to a charity shop. That series didn't need sequels.
