OMG can anyone help me with an ikea storage problem before I lose my mind, please?

Am going round in circles.

I have a space in my kitchen.

70cm x 60cm and its for brooms and mops so I'd like it tall maybe with a few shelves.

Here come the issues. The backs of my kitchen are like a wood colour and the fronts are light grey. So I'd like to keep that if possible. Or all grey?

My issue is the doors.

If I find a frame non of the doors available seem to fit 😭😭

It needs to be available for collection Manchester if possible.

It's driving me mad!

A carpenter cut down a door to fit a new cupboard in my utility room. Don’t know if that’s an option. Or two doors so it looks like a stable door?

I trying to keep it relatively cheap, if I get a carpenter in it's going to rocket bit thankyou.

We have a Besta unit upright - not a problem with that at all.

OP, would a PAX wardrobe work? How flexible can you be on size? They do a light wood colour frame and you can get so many different types of door, but “Fardal” definitely comes in light grey.

We bought a long larder door and screwed it to the wall in a corner. So it is a fake cupboard in that it has no cupboard skin. It also has no lip or step up so the hoover and carpet cleaner can be wheeled in without me picking it up, I have back issues so it’s brilliant. I suppose it’s like an alcove with shelves with a door. If you are putting your cupboard in a corner it is possible.

Got the besta with this door that's 180, but going to put a shelf exactly where the door stops at the top so there's just a small 12cm little open shelf at top (or at bottom)

Our tall cupboard looks like it is two cupboards because it has two doors attached to each other. Does that give you more options?

Are you sure you can use bodbyn with besta? I thought bodbyn was for Metod. If you're going to store to collect, might be worth asking someone?

Surlwy it's just a cupboard door? You could fix it to anything?

@IkeaHelp from ikea the cupboards and doors come with pre drilled holes for hinges, so these might not match. Worst case you just have to re drill one set yourself!

Technically yes but it (probably will) may involve you having to drill some new holes but they may need to be too close to the existing ones and that’s problematic because it weakens the space between the old and new holes causing them to widen
