So, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post this or where it should go, but I just thought it might give someone a giggle. So I went to my Drs as I had a chest infection and was feeling really crappy. Gorgeous paramedic(a new thing at our surgery)saw me and asked what other symptoms I had. I told him begrudgingly that I had a bit of stomach ache and was also having horrible sticky green/black poo that was sort of stretchy, I went into such detail about how gark green and stretchy it was.I felt a right plum saying this to somebody drop dead gorgeous but anyhoo he said that would need checked and gave me a tub to hand a sample in. Roll on another couple of days and I realised that my dogs poo looked a lot like mine and all of a sudden it clicked. Recently I had bought 4 bags of liquorice toffees to try and ate the lot, fat git I know but they are strangely addictive. I was also giving the dog some of my toffee as she loved it too. That was when it clicked in my head that the black/green poo was from the liquorice toffees I'd eaten. Then I had a phone call from the gorgeous paramedic to tell me my chest x ray was fine and was I feeling any better. He asked if I had handed my poo sample in yet and I had to tell him about the liquorice toffees and apologise if I had wasted his time. Luckily I hadn't sent the sample in. So my only hope is that he now leaves our practice and I never have to see him again!!! shit happens x

(A) are you 12? (B) stop giving your dog food that's bad for him.

Never give a dog sweets. Many contain Xylitol which is lethal to dogs. Even a small amount can destroy their kidneys = death.

They don't even try anymore 😒

Any HCP looking at a patient in the way you’re looking at the paramedic would be in a massive pile of trouble. They’re looking at you as a collection of symptoms to be treated.

get over yourself.
