Any successful Etsy sellers here?

I've been toying with the idea for a niche-type print on demand store for a while now, but typically, have done nothing about it. However, I've been inspired/spurred on by a recent thread where a good number of posters said they had a good Etsy side hustle going 🙂

My idea is closely related to my main work industry so I know it well and have a passion for it, but I just don't know where to start Etsy-wise. How do I know if my idea is a runner? What are the best print on demand services/resources? Or is POD dead in the water?

Would love some simple pointers 😁

I have a few successful Etsy stores, print on demand is one of them. I use Printful and researched the niche well. You really need 50+ products to get traction and to do your research. I did a lot of that at the beginning and now only add about 10 new products a month. I also did a lot of SEO work on my listings and utilise chatgpt to help me to write my descriptions (with instructions to chatgpt).

When you were researching the niche, did you search for keywords, or is there a way of searching for keyword volume on Etsy?

How are you finding Printful? I use Gelato due to their apparently higher quality, but their catalog is quite limited...

Can anyone recommend a print on demand service in the UK that will print stickers? I want to link it to Etsy.
