@NaughtyBoyGeorgeMichaelJacksonBrown of course I don’t mind.
I used the Annie Grace 30 Day Challenge - I signed up to the online support group, which was free. I also bought her book, This Naked Mind.
I’d read that a lot of the cravings in the early days would be sugar cravings, so I put healthy eating to one side and laid in lots of sweet treats (Haribo Sour Patch Kids were a lifesaver).
I bought nice soft drinks, such as Fever Tree flavoured tonics, so I had something nice to drink.
I signed up to the Calm app, and did Jeff Warren’s 30 Day Introduction to Meditation - which I’ve continued to this day.
I read a lot of quit lit. As well as This Naked Mind, I read We Are The Luckiest, Quit Like A Woman and The Unexpected Joy of Being Sober.
I downloaded the Sober Time app so I could look at my achievement when I was feeling wobbly.
I upped my self care massively - lots of hot baths, exercise, naps. I decided that what I was doing was not nothing, so I needed to respect it and be nice to myself.
And when it got tough - which it did - I played the tape forward, and rode the cravings. I found they only really last about ten minutes before they subside. The dogs got walked a lot!
