So when ever I eat . No matter what it is . I always Need to poo within a few mins of finishing my food. It's not normally solid. I'm really confused as im sure food can't digest that fast? It's definitely within a few mins that it happens. Also does that mean I'm getting no vitamins?

I'm quite sure it's not an allergy or intolerance as it with (everything) I eat

It won’t be the food you’ve just eaten shooting out of your body, the food you’ve just eaten will still be sitting in your stomach.

It’ll will be the food you’ve just eaten triggering an immediate poop response. It’s not normal but very common with IBS and other bowel conditions. It does happen to me occasionally. It might be worth keeping a food diary to see if any particular foods are triggers for you.

Google dumping syndrome

I get this with peanuts, peanut sauces white beer (like Hoegaarden) and peas.

I saw a dietician for FODMAP diet to identify the triggers.

I have this, to the point I rarely eat out. It's actually got worse as I've got older. Disposed to go to a bbq today.. won't eat for this very reason. 🫣 I've always thought it's some sort of IBS and just lived with it.

Randomly both my husband and I do the same...it's a tad mortifying at a dinner invite..it never happens at home which I find weird. I was on a restaurant boat the other night and had to do the walk of shame twice in quick succession.

Does it happen every time, so 3 times a day after breakfast, lunch and dinner? How long has it been like this? Have you lost weight?

Toddlerteaplease · 12/08/2023 14:48

My friend has this exact problem. He often gets caught out.

I only eat one main main a day. And I graze alot. Probably about 6 months. No weight is the same.

I have wondered this with my child at times. Its like clockwork. 30 -60 mins after a meal

Autumnismyfavouritetime · 12/08/2023 15:14

I have IBS and have this more often that not. It’s so bloody inconvenient, stops me from eating out as the last thing I want to do is leave my meal half way to go off to poop (have had to do this too many times and now don’t eat out).

Its called the gastro-colic reflex. Babies have it turned up to the max, we are supposed to have dampened down the reflex as we get into childhood/adulthood but sadly for us IBS sufferers our bodies somehow revert back to our baby days.
It is beyond frustrating.

Google bile acid malabsorption and digestive dumping. I type that as I sit on the loo having just eaten lunch 😖
