Hi I have a German shepherd she's 4. I have Been giving her dry food called burns . It's what she's always had . But its getting a boy more expensive that it used to be and does not to be so much of it around. I still want to stick to dry food. But I mogjt change it . I was wondering if anyone has used this food from amazon. (See pic)

Just as a little side note I only want advice regarding dry food as that's what I will be sticking to . Thanks 😊

Have a look here: www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk/

You can put in your criteria and it will show you foods with a score of how good they are (so high meat content, grain free foods will score highly and the Pedigree-type stuff very low) as well as estimated cost per day for your size of dog.

Seems to still be on Amazon. Although I wouldn't recommend it as the highest ingredient is maize. Your dog might seem fit and well now but it'll show when they're old with rickety bones etc. try and find one that is wheat free.

Yeah. When I first bought it years ago . It was ok . But over time they have sneakily changed the ingredients. So probably is time for a change

Hello OP. Sorry I don’t have any suggestions but a question as you mention time for a change from Burns. I’ve used it over many years really happy with it, but I’ve seen some poor reviews, have you noticed a recent change? I’m looking for a decent food for my pup and am rethinking my original plan to switch to Burns.

We also use Burns and have been really struggling to get hold of it recently. It's the only one our dog can tolerate and really don't want to have to change it again. The price in P@H has also gone up from £39 to £54 in about 2 months

Yes I think the ingredients changed. It never used to have that maize crap in it and they started adding it. Abd the price had gone up . Really wanted something that can be delivered with my normal shop . But I think most supermarket dog food is rubbish. Mind you I have not looked for years
