October half term UK holiday

Looking for a lovely UK break in October half term. Kids 8, 5 and under 1. Love days out, animals, beaches, castles, gift shops, cafés. We're in Buckinghamshire. We spend half our life driving to Scotland so prefer to avoid too long a drive. Any ideas? Thanks!

Christchurch near Bournemouth.. amazing beaches , lovely town. Edge of the new forest .. so much to do for everyone

Isle of Wight. Easy ferry over from Portsmouth and perfect for children of that age, plus a lot easier from Bucks than getting to Scotland.

We had a lovely October half term break in Somerset a few years ago. We had a cottage with a fire place which was nice for the evening. Lots of days out. Stayed near Glastonbury.

Pembrokeshire (Tenby / Saundersfoot)
North Devon (Croyde / Saunton)
Cornwall (Portreath Gwel an Mor or Porthtowan)

We're off to Dorset - there's just a lot to do even if the weather is ropey.

Bath.
Lots of nice things in the town itself, plus Longleat and Westonbirt arbetoreum nearby.

Isle of wight perfect for that age. Masses to do.
