Would you say/do anything??

Slightly light-hearted but also slightly serious.

DD2 (6) has spent the last week or so learning to ride her bike - as a result her lower legs are covered in bruises where she has hit her legs off the pedals.
DD1 also has a bunch of bruises but not as bad.

We’re going away for a few days next week and will be in the hotel pool. If you saw - would you notice or care??

I’d notice but if it’s just bruised legs I’d not think anything of it - my kids legs are always covered in bruises and scrapes. Often mine are too - I’m very clumsy and I bruise easily.

I might notice and then laugh to myself remembering how my kids legs often looked like that at that age.

I’d probably notice but not say anything, both my children have multiple bruises on their legs, my son uses the furniture as gymnastics equipment and flings himself around the living room and my daughter falls over constantly. Bruises from abuse usually look different to normal injury bruises so it’s fairly easy to tell.

That’s a relief. I’ve never taken any notice cause both girls are very active so generally have a few bruises but (child free) BIL was horrified when he saw them yesterday! Which worried me a bit!
