My Smart Meter isn't working - who do I call?

EDF have sent me a letter to say they can't get a reading from my Smart meter electricity) so are therefore taking a DD payment that is roughly twice what I pay on my usual pay-for-what-the-smart-meter-says-I-have used plan.

Who fixes my Smart meter? It wasn't put in by EDF, I changed to EDF after I moved in.

Thank you!

Contact EDF as they’re your provider. If it’s not working they will send an engineer, it might be fixable or need replacing.
Our old, non smart meter packed in last year and was replaced by a smart meter although it took about six weeks before they could send anyone.

After 1.5 years of complaints Eon are FINALLY going to come and fix mine for me next week.

As PP said, your provider should take responsibility for it. I'm actually impressed that EDF noticed it wasn't working! Just goes to show how shit Eon are 🙄

Thanks all.
I have spoken to EDF now - they are getting readings through now and will adjust DD to actual use.
DC home from Uni will be restricted to cold showers now as actual use has gone up a lot!

Every now and again Eon have a problem getting readings from mine because the wifi is poor in our area. I just take readings in the normal way and submit them online and Ron use this instead. It’s never been a big issue and it’s never caused my dd to be adjusted.
